Rustic Breckenridge Remodel, Before and After

Rustic Breckenridge Remodel
We are so excited to show you all this project because it was a true transformation!

The young owner was looking for a rustic contemporary mountain retreat for her and her family.

The c2 Team hired one of our amazing contractors,  David, with David's Custom Construction, updating bathrooms, replacing carpet with beautiful wood flooring, adding a stacked wood look to the fireplace mantle and under the peninsula, new carpet in bedrooms, painting walls, and re-tiling the kitchen floor.

Once construction ceased in just 6 short weeks, the c2 Team went in to add some finishing touches in the way of bedding, rugs, art, pillows, and other decorative accents.

When it was done, the space felt brand new!

Master Suite- Before

This corner of the upper level master suite was the one that left us scratching our chin. The staircase protrudes up through the flooring so this built in tv stand couldn't disappear entirely.

Master Suite- After
This custom bookcase, designed by principle designer, Corinne Ekle, and hand crafted by our contractor was one of our favorite pieces in this project. We are absolutely thrilled with how this little beauty turned out. Consider the protruding staircase problem, solved!!

That moose skull though!! The existing nightstands and dresser were given new life with gorgeous rustic contemporary table lamps. We added new bedding and this watercolor floral drapery softens the window casing. Framing the tv are one of our favorite pieces of art from Uttermost (pictured below).

How cool are these feather shadow boxes?!?

A cozy little loft outside the master suite was spiffed up with new art, a fluffy throw, coffee table, and a geometric chandelier.

During Construction

Before...

                                                                             Bathroom Remodel

Our contractor tore out the existing floor and shower tile and replaced all the hardware and cabinets knobs and pulls.

And Voila!! After!
On the master vanity, the sink faucets were replaced with new, contemporary bronze fixtures, along with the vanity light, knobs and pulls, and shower/tub faucets. The flooring tile was done in a super clean vanilla linen 12x24 tile.

In the master shower we used a stacked porcelain mosaic tile and continued the 12x24 vanilla tile that we used for the flooring on the adjacent walls.  A well placed niche offers plenty of storage for the owners and renters.

In the two lower level bathrooms, we added accent bands and niches in a glass mosaic tile. A 12x24 "bronzey" cappuccino floor tile was installed along with new fixtures in bronze.

      Kitchen Transformation

The vanilla linen floor tile was added in the kitchen, along with new bronze knobs and pulls. Once construction was done the c2 team re-styled existing and brought in some new accessories throughout the home (see above cabinetry).

A reclaimed wood tile was added under the bar and on the fireplace. Four new barstools create a great breakfast spot.

The eat in kitchen was transformed with new hardwoods, bar stools, a rug that was re-homed from the living room, and a super stunning industrial bronze chandelier. We also changed the angle of the kitchen table to accommodate more guests and the new barstool seating area.

Living Room

Ahh the fireplace! This is the first thing you see when you walk into this home. Previously the fireplace was bare naked with nothing to draw the eye but some drywall and a log hearth.

Adding this reclaimed wood tile made a world of difference for this focal point of the room.  Giving the appearance of a large column. Styled with some fun accessories,  it lends a contemporary yet uber-rustic, mountain vibe.

A rescued leather and natural jute area rug in the living room warmed up the space and gave a cozy spot for chilly, apres-ski feet to land. Styled with some fresh accessories and throw pillows the room is ready for movie nights, and board games!

Guest Rooms

The lower level rooms make for very happy guests! We updated with new carpeting and bedding in the southwestern mountain style.
